Mikaela Johnson, a Morningside College senior from Colorado Springs, Colo., will give a voice recital on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in Klinger-Neal Theatre, 3700 Peters Avenue. The public is invited free of charge.
Johnson will be performing several selections including Steven Sondheim’s “Stay With Me” from the musical “Into the Woods;” Jonathon Larson’s “Seasons of Love” from the musical “RENT;” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Something Wonderful” from “The King and I;” among others.
Johnson will be joined on several selections by Morningside students Amanda Leu, senior from Spencer, Iowa; Brandon Shostak, junior from Le Mars, Iowa; Jonathan Rotramel, senior from Anthon, Iowa; and Danielle Westphal, junior from Lenox, Iowa.
Rotramel, Shostak, and Emily Faber, a senior from Le Mars, Iowa, will perform solos during the recital.
Bob Barry, teacher at East Middle School in Sioux City, will accompany Johnson on the piano.
