Morningside College senior Emily Faber will present her voice recital on Monday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The free recital is open to the public.
Titled “The Klass Recital,” the program is named for the Marvin and Merry Klass Endowed Music Scholarship awarded to Faber for the 2005-2006 academic year.
Faber, a mezzo-soprano, will perform a variety of selections including “Once Upon a Dream” and “Take Me As I Am” from the musical “Jekyll and Hyde;” “Ribbons Down My Back” from the musical “Hello, Dolly!” and “Kiss Me Not Goodbye” from the musical “The Mighty Casey,” to name a few.
Morningside College students Brandon Shostak, tenor, and Jonathan Rotramel, bass, will perform duets with Faber on three selections.
JoAnn Kots will accompany Faber on the piano.
