John Steele of Sioux City presented “Influence of Leader Trust on Policy Agreement” at the 20th Annual Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Conference held April 15-17, in Los Angeles, Calif. The poster presentation was co-authored by Steele and Dr. John Pinto, professor of psychology at Morningside.
Steele is a senior who is majoring in industrial and organizational psychology and business administration at Morningside. He is a 2001 graduate of North High School.
“Influence of Leader Trust on Policy Agreement” attempted to ascertain the influence of trust on evaluation of an organizational policy. The results indicated the higher the level of leader trust, the higher the extent of subordinate agreement.
The SIOP conference brought more than 4,000 domestic and international practitioners and students from academia and public and private organizations together to network, discuss lines of research, and improve the field of industrial and organizational psychology.
