From May 11 through May 20, Morningside College students, faculty, alumni and friends toured Israel. The group visited some of the most revered sites for three religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Stops included Tel Aviv, the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Capernaum, the Dead Sea and Jerusalem. Leading the Morningside group were Dr. Jessica deVega, assistant professor of religious studies, and Rabbi Guy Greene of Congregation Beth Shalom in Sioux City, an adjunct faculty member in Morningside’s religious studies department. Follow the group’s progress through the blogs that appear on this page.
