The choir's second concert took place at X'ian Institute of Posts and Telecommunications. Upon arrival at the university, students from the institute were lined up to welcome the students from Morningside. The entire Morningside delegation of students, faculty, staff, and alumni were honored with a formal welcome ceremony, a reception, and dinner. The students were very friendly, and the institute administration noted many times that they hoped this event would be the beginning of a lasting friendship.
The concert was a joint concert, with university groups also performing, for a full house of more than 1,000 persons. The concert began with a moment of silence in honor of the victims and survivors of the earthquake in the Sichuan Province, for whom the institute is raising funds. The institute ensembles included traditional Chinese dancers and an impressive faculty choir. The audience loudly applauded the Morningside College Choir throughout their performance.

At the closing of the concert, all the performers gathered on stage to sing together. The Morningside College Choir is in the middle, while the faculty choir included the men in white shirts and the woman in the pink gowns. The dancers are seated in the front row. |
