The Collegian Reporter has been Morningside's student-run newspaper since 1898. As the student voice on campus affairs, The CR welcomes students from all of the College's majors and discipines to fill decision-making roles as editors, reporters, columnists, photographers and cartoonists. Those interested in the business side of publishing can get experience in advertising sales and underwriting.

The CR is online as well, and opportunities in graphic design, web design and multi-media await those who want to express themselves "more artistically". As media continue to converge, student staff will report events using audio and video technology as well as words on a printed page.

In the coming academic year The Collegian Reporter will continue its tradition of campus news coverage, sports reporting, art reviews, and opinion writing. Our goal is always to keep the campus community informed, involved and entertained.

KMSC-FM 92.9 is Morningside's student-run, FCC licensed radio station broadcasting from studios in Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center. The station offers Siouxland's 100,000 residents a blend of cutting edge alternative music during the weekdays and specialty programs at night and on the weekends that range from punk to Christian alternative to indie rock to hip hop, depending on the interests of the student management and DJ's.

Special broadcasts have included live outdoor rock concerts, acoustic concerts from the MCTV studio, campus appearances by presidential candidates, extended election night coverage, and play by play of Morningside sports.
