Dorothy (Lean) Rystad celebrated her 92nd birthday on Oct. 9, 2007. She lives in Richardson, Texas, where she remains active in church and community affairs.

Dorothea (Clift) Hilts celebrated her 85th birthday on Oct. 10, 2007.

Seventies

1971

The Rev. Kathleen Milligan, rector of St. John’s Church in Dubuque, Iowa, attended the Episcopal conference on reconciliation, “Finding the Third Way: A National Training Event in Reconciliation,” held May 23-25, 2007, in Los Angeles, Calif.

1976

Helen Gatewood celebrated her 85th birthday on Oct. 1, 2007.

Brian Johnson was named vice president at Vantus Bank in Sioux City.

Nineties

1991

James R. Vanderloo accepted a position as principal at Sioux City West High School. He was previously the assistant principal at Sioux City North High School.

1998

Jessica Taff is a sports anchor/reporter at WABC-TV in New York City.

Two Thousand

2001

Mitch Allner is head coach for the Tulsa Talons of the Arena Football League 2 (af2). Allner coached the Talons to the Arena Cup Championship during the 2007 season with a 73-66 victory against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers on Aug. 25 in Bossier City, La. The Talons finished the season with a record of 18-2.

2005

Ryan Hutchinson accepted a position as district retail manager at Long Lines in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

2006

Amanda Baker accepted a position as a personal banker for Wells Fargo at its downtown Sioux City location. As a personal banker, she will work with customers to build and manage relationships and offer advice, products and services to help them succeed financially.
