The Rev. Arlyn Dale Falk was one of five Falk brothers who reunited on March 24, 2007, at the Salem Methodist Church near Axtell, Neb., to celebrate the 80th birthday of their youngest brother, Robert Falk.

Glenna (Page) Avilla was honored by Who’s Who Among American Teachers® for the fourth time.

1969
Mike Cadwell retired in November 2006 after a 26-year career with Federated Insurance in Sioux City. Cadwell qualified for 24 consecutive Chairman’s Council Incentive Trips, making him one of only four marketing representatives in the history of the company to accomplish the feat at the time of retirement.
Shirley (Sash) Kleene is a licensed customer service representative at American Family Insurance in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
The Rev. Dave Smith was recognized as a 2007 Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of Harrison, Ark. Smith serves as pastor of Everton and Valley Springs United Methodist Churches in Arkansas.

1970
The Rev. Dr. Gary Armstrong assumed duties as senior pastor of Indianola First United Methodist Church in Indianola, Iowa, on July 1, 2007.
1972
Donna (Tack) Ricks was inducted into the Iowa High School Speech Association’s Hall of Fame in 2006.
1973
Arthur D. Leiby was presented with the 2007 National Episcopal Historians and Archivists (NEHA) Canon John W. Davis Award at the 2007 Tri-History Conference held in June in Williamsburg, Va. The award was in recognition of Leiby’s distinguished service to the ministries of Ecclesiastical History and Archives in the Episcopal Diocese of Easton and to the church at large. Leiby is the diocesan archivist for the Diocese of Easton, Md., a position he has held since January 1986. The Tri-History Conference was a joint conference for NEHA, the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church, and the Episcopal Women’s History Project.

Michael Gibbs opened a new business, ConCHAIRtino, in Ponca, Neb. The art gallery’s name encompasses Gibbs’ love for music and his desire to collect straight-backed chairs as works of art.
1975
The Rev. Clark Christian is a located United Methodist minister in the Iowa Annual Conference who currently works as an information technology report writer for Jewish Family Service in West Bloomfield, Mich.
Rick Gustafson is a prekindergarten through fourth-grade principal at Howe Elementary School and the curriculum coordinator for the entire Ogden Community School District in Ogden, Iowa. Howe Elementary received the 2007 Elementary School of Character Award from the Institute for Character Development. This nonprofit organization gives the award to individuals or organizations whose beliefs, attitudes, and actions consistently exemplify the Six Pillars of Character Counts: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. In addition to this honor, Howe’s Early Learning Center was featured as a model preschool program in the May/June newsletter of the Iowa Association of School Boards. The Early Learning Center was recognized as a pioneer in early childhood education because of the collaboration involving Head Start, Community Empowerment, and the local district. The center opened in 2001 using the funding and collaboration model that was later identified by the 2007 Iowa Legislature as an example for state-funded preschool programs. Gustafson has served as principal of Howe Elementary School since 1996.

1983
Jon M. Dabareiner is the two-time reigning World Grand Champion amateur roadster to bike champion after winning the 2006 title at the World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville, Ky. In addition, Jon and his wife, Lisa, were named the United States Equestrian Federation National Horse Persons of the Year for 2005 and 2006. Dabareiner operates Fish N Fun Farms Inc., one of the largest private show barns featuring saddlebred and standardbred horses. The farm has produced three world champions and two reserve world champions during its 16 years of operation.
Juli (Fairchild) Hyde is a financial advisor for Banc of America Investment Services Inc. in Overland Park, Kan.

Jay Stidham accepted a position as a senior sales manager for crop nutrients at CHS (Cenex Harvest States) in Waco, Texas.
1986
Dennis Lauver was the lead presenter in the session “Housing Planning as a Workforce Recruitment and Retention Tool” at the 2007 national convention of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives in Sacramento, Calif. He was also the lead presenter at a session on disaster planning for community development organizations at the 2007 joint convention of the Kansas Economic Developers Association and Kansas Chamber of Commerce Executives Association. Lauver is president and CEO of the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce in Kansas.

Amber (Ellerbroek) Hegarty accepted a position as an associate with the law firm of Berenstein, Moore, Berenstein, Heffernan & Moeller LLP in Sioux City.

The Rev. Mary Catherine Enockson was ordained into the Episcopal priesthood in Columbia, S.C. Enockson, who graduated from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass., in May of 2006, is associate pastor of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Rock Hill, S.C.
Brandon Krotz accepted a position as commercial banking officer at the Singing Hills office of Liberty National Bank in Sioux City. Krotz is responsible for managing a commercial and small business loan portfolio as well as new and existing relationship development and service.
Jackie (Kellen) Sitzmann accepted a position as assistant development director for Gehlen Catholic School in Le Mars, Iowa.
2002
Crystal (Todd) Anderson completed her doctorate at South Dakota State College of Pharmacy in Brookings. She is a pharmacist at Thompson Dean Drug in Sioux City.
Elisha Kremer is a missionary for Campus Crusade for Christ. She is stationed in Maracaibo,Venezuela.

Nick Agne is a customer service representative for Marsh Affinity Group Services in Des Moines, Iowa. He is working toward a master’s degree in business from Drake University.
2006
Lacey Bensink and Joe Maffit were recognized by the Community Action Agency of Siouxland for coordinating the Morningside College Service Learning Program. The Community Action Agency of Siouxland worked with approximately 15 service learning students who donated their time to the agency and its programs.

Lisa Cunningham is a special education teacher at Washington Elementary in Sioux City.
