How do I apply for college?

We’ve simplified the college admissions process with this step-by-step checklist.

High school senior admissions checklist

1. Apply

This one is pretty obvious. Complete your Morningside application on paper or online, and submit your ACT or SAT scores. Bonus: There is no fee to apply.

2. Apply for financial aid

Complete your FAFSA and receive your financial aid package.

3. Put down your enrollment deposit

Pay the $100 enrollment deposit via check or credit card, via snail mail, online, or phone at 800-831-0806.

4. Complete your housing forms

If you haven’t received your housing forms yet, contact your admissions counselor. If you don’t have an admissions counselor yet, get one.

5. Select your computer

Choose whether you’ll receive a Mac or PC upon move-in. If you haven't received a computer selection form, contact your admissions counselor.

6. Complete your health form

Complete and return your Student Health Form.

7. Send us your final transcripts

You can submit your transcript via mail or Docufide or the National Transcript Center. Also, please send us any AP scores or college course transcripts. Mail them to:

8. Attend Summer Registration

Sign up for a Summer Registration session or contact your admissions counselor with any questions.

Are you an athlete? Be sure to:

  • Register through the NAIA Eligibility Center.
  • Fill out the Athletic Training Department forms.
