The
College Student Survey is administered to
undergraduate students at colleges and universities
across the nation. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the CIRP Freshman Survey. First administered to Morningside College seniors in 2004, the CSS will continued to be administered as part of a three-year rotation of senior student assessments that includes the NSSE and the Morningside Senior Survey.
The
CSS collects a variety of information on academic achievement and engagement, student satisfaction, student involvement, cognitive and affective development, values, attitudes, goals, degree aspirations, career plans, and technology use. By matching students' reponses to the CSS with those same students' responses to the CIRP, Morningside College is able to analyze longitudinal data on students' cognitive and affective growth during their college experience.
