The
Office of Assessment and Institutional Research supports
efforts by the stakeholders of Morningside College to
fulfill its mission and goals by providing data and information
necessary for investigating, documenting, and monitoring
institutional effectiveness. |

| Goals: |
|
Reporting
to the Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of the
College, the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research
endeavors to accomplish its purpose by supporting and
promoting all forms of institutional assessment; and by
systematically collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and
reporting information and data about the college for internal
and external purposes. |

| Responsibilities: |
- Serve
as a resource for departments/units engaged in the
development and implementation of assessment plans;
|
- Provide
administrative support for the various assessment
programs;
|
- Coordinate
the collection and reporting of institutional assessment
data to the campus community;
|
- Facilitate
the development of a campus-wide culture of improvement;
|
- Prepare
and publish the Morningside College Fact Book;
|
- Respond
to external surveys and request for data and information
(e.g. IPEDS, College Board, Iowa Surveys);
|
- Develop
and maintain a clearinghouse of data and information
about the College including institutional surveys
(e.g. CIRP, NSSE) and external surveys; and
|
- Respond
in a timely manner to ad hoc requests for information,
data, and analytical reports as requested by college
officials.
