Students
with history or political science majors can pursue
careers in law, government, non-governmental organizations,
business, and education, or choose to attend graduate
or professional schools in a variety of disciplines.
The study of history may be the most generally applicable
of all disciplines to all career fields, refining several
key skills such as reading critically and gathering
information. Students majoring in histoy can elect
to seek concentrations in American, European, Asian-World,
American-World, or General History. The political
science major has an international curriculum and offers
courses in American politics, comparative politics,
international relations, and political theory.
Majors include: American History
(B.A.), History (B.A.), American History/American Government
Teaching (B.A.), American History/World History Teaching
(B.A.), and Political Science (B.A.). Minors in Political
Science, Citizenship, United States Politics, and World
Politics are also offered.
