Morningside College is accepting applications for a full-time administrative assistant, 40 hours per week for 10 months of the year (August through May), for the Department of Applied Ag and Food Studies.
Responsibilities: This individual will be responsible for office management and clerical support for faculty members, preparing departmental reports, assisting with budget preparation, answering phones, correspondence and organizing meetings. This individual will also provide support to the Admissions office with recruiting prospective Ag and Food Studies students, managing the prospective student database, and coordinating visits. This position will also assist the Director to maintain department internship and externship positions, department marketing strategies and setting up industry tours and company profiles.
Qualifications: A candidate should have excellent administrative skills for general office duties, strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point), customer service attitude, good written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and scheduling skills and must be able to make decisions requiring good judgment and initiative.
