The Fifth Annual Morningside College Palmer Student Research Symposium scheduled for April 9th, 2008, is a campus-wide celebration of student involvement in research. Students can present research, both empirical and non-empirical, completed in a class or completed as an independent project under faculty supervision. Students can request an oral presentation, a poster demonstration, or a panel discussion. Students have the option of submitting fall and/or spring projects during the open submission period.

The conference will consist of student presentations in the morning and afternoon with a recognition luncheon and early afternoon keynote address by Dr. Peter von Allmen, professor at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. Dr. von Allmen co-wrote the textbook The Economics of Sports.
